Week numero tres!!

I'm officially halfway done with my stay in the MTC!!!! What?! Already?! It's a bit of a bittersweet thing to look forward to. While we can't wait to get out in the field, it's going to be so hard to say goodbye to my amazing sisters. We laugh and joke and are getting along so well, and then they're just going to separate us. Not okay!!!!!

Well this week has probably been the most amazing, exciting and best week so far here. First off was the Fourth of July! Basically every Elder and Sister in the MTC was wearing red, white, and blue and it was so festive! And then we got to watch 17 miracles and after that we watched to stadium of fire fireworks from the MTC. Woot! Unluckily, you could only see the really high ones. Also, you know that you're a missionary when you finally get to do something exciting (like watch fireworks) and it hits 10:30 and all you want to do is sleep. So instead of watching the finale we went to our rooms and did just that! Oh, and I got the cutest little Fourth of July package from my Daddy and the fam. Unluckily, since the MTC mail is a mess, I didn't get it until the day after the Fourth. It's okay though, my section of the room is VERY festive and cute now. So thanks for that fam!! And thank you Mom for the snacks!

This week was also amazing on a spiritual level. We taught Gregorio threee times this week and it was the coolest experience ever!!!!!!! During the lesson the spirit was so strong and it was just powerful. We focused a lot this week on the power of having the spirit and the power of the scriptures. I have grown so much as I focused on reading the Book of Mormon and truly studying it out. It's the best book ever, so everyone read it!!!! But because we studied and truly turned to the Lord for help we were blessed. I never want to teach a lesson again that isn't led by the spirit. It made me so excited to get to Seattle and do that for real.

So one of the fun things about this week was the contract that said we would speak Spanish more when we were not in the classroom. We decided that whenever someone says something in english that we have learned in Spanish they have to sing a song using the word in Spanish, no matter where we are. Funniest decisions we've ever made. Let's just say, we all struggle a bit in the singing department, so this is the perfect thing to get us speaking the language.
